The decentralized nature of the world’s media outlets makes it difficult to monitor global events at the speed at which they appear in the news. In many ways this is similar to the changing metadata tags applied to realtime news archives, in which the early days of a conflict might be recorded merely as military skirmishes and only later, once the events have broken into full-scale war, eventually relabeled as the early events leading to that war. Rather than searching for the equivalent of “Scud missile launch from Yemen into Saudi Arabia” one must search for the myriad physical manifestations that might represent what a citizen on the ground might have observed. A Scud missile launch might be observed by witnesses not as missiles flying through the sky, but through air raid sirens, scrambled security assets, military movements, explosions, warnings to stay indoors and other strange events. P.s.- It shoudln’t have Readability anymore on the extensions since the service went the way of the do-do bird in 2017 (pity - I liked it).This can make it difficult to estimate the very first social media posts about an event. It would be soothing to have a beige background (again, my personal taste).

The app would be awesome if I could bring up the color wheel or the crayons in Mac OS and select the background. So, I’ve settled for the grayish-looking background. With the black one it looks awful (personal taste), with the glassy transparent one, if you have a photo for your wallpaper it really doesn’t look that great. The only thing I truly wish it had is the ability to change the color of the background. Then, I came across NewsFlow, and I immediately loved the concept: the tabs, the fact that news come in as they are posted, but it is not a constant stream moving, well, it just fits my needs very well. I don’t want something constantly scrolling in my screen. I have forever looked for “ticker” apps out in the store, and the closest I’ve ever gotten are these “Wall Street - type” tickers that go just below the menu bar. I hope you listen, because I am a brand ambassador for you and a daily user who counts on your service.
Like the news stations do, except modifiable in regard to how many lines of new information someone withes to be bombarded by/with. I know that in ways you alrewady do this, however, I would like a leaner running three line "ticker tape” style that I can place at the top or bottom of my my screen. Make the app very customizable such that users can place the feed anywhere they like. However, I hope they will read my review and listen to my SERIOUS suggestion. I have tried others, and they either interfered with (some quite badly) or they were just not nearly as polished as this one. My actual earch terms have been “News Ticker” And I have been forever seeking a Wall Street-like or CNBC-like ticker of stock information and news information in real time. Finally a great News accompaniment alongside my active workįor literally six or seven years now I have occasionally searched the Apple App Store for a News ssource that would work in real-time alongside my active workflow without interfering with it or disrupting it.
